AM-1 mile warm up
chad and I decided to use this as a training run, although after I started and could see the main pack just in front of me, so I decided to go a little faster! Besides a girl led the whole dang race. Whats up with that? She ran so strong, so good for her. The first couple miles I was chatting with a guy that said he didnt think it was right that a girl should win, but I told him I am too old to do anything about it!
The hill was tough, but I just relaxed up it and didn't redline, so I could save for the down hill. The only problem was the 15 mph headwind for the rest of the race. Mile 8 & 9 I started to worry that I went out too fast, but all the miles I have been logging ended up really paying off. My last 3 miles were so strong and I just felt really really good.
I did a cool down around hurricane and then called it good. I didn't stay for the medals because I had to grocery shop and get kire to soccer in cedar. Laur went with saucy to volleyball in SLC, so she didn't get home until this evening.
I have to say, Alexa rocked out the track meet on Thursday. She broke the school record and qualified for BYU. I think she is going to really help the team in region.
