AM my time on theis 5k was terrible.  I battled up the hill at the end, but the times were all pitiful.  Karl Wilcock won the race with a 18+ which is so slow for him, so I am not too disappointed.  I still hate running races where the clock doesn't reward me for running through the pain!

Kire ran too and did quite well.  He actually ran just over his PR at 28+  Karl was great to Kire after the race.  They chatted for a bit, which I thought was great for Kire.  I think Karl will be to Kire like Alan Bailey and Kim Lyman was to me.

We hurried back to watch the XC meet @ LV park.  We just got to see the boys.  They need to work hard, because PV is looking great this year.  They have some really solid runners.  I boys must start seeing XC and track as a priority or they are never going to be in the thick of it.

PM I started my long run around 6:30 PM.  Laurie rode her bike with me from above the cinder cone.  We finished at home.  Just wanted to get in some mileage without worrying about time, but I did have my watch.  I am about 8 a mile, so not bad for a long run.  I still think I have a good shot at qualifying if I really bear down the last few weeks.
